В 2014-2015 гг. проявилась новая тенденция постепенного превращения сектора услуг в главный драйвер экономического роста Китая. Таким образом, китайское «общество потребления» перешло к следующей фазе развития - когда на фоне удовлетворения спроса на потребительские товары стала расти потребность в новых для среднего китайца услугах, включая внутренний и выездной туризм. Отнесение Китая к странам со «средне-высоким уровнем дохода» при сохраняющейся динамике роста ВВП позволяет прогнозировать снижение доли бюджетов домохозяйств, направляемых на удовлетворение первичных потребностей, с соответствующим ростом доли расходов на услуги.
