Феномен национализма существует в Европе уже достаточно давно. В некоторых странах он стал фактором появления идеологии сепаратизма, последователи которой преследуют цель выхода своих регионов из состава государств, частью которых они являются. К наиболее интересным для анализа странам, где остро стоит проблема кризиса государственности, во многом из-за деятельности сепаратистов, принадлежат Бельгия, Испания и Великобритания. В данной статье автор среди целого спектра причин сепаратизма рассматривает его экономические предпосылки и приходит к выводу, что экономические мотивы зачастую оказываются определяющими в борьбе за независимость.
A phenomenon of nationalism exists in Europe for a long time. In some countries it has become a factor of emergence of the separatist ideology, followers of which pursue the objective of their regions' secession from the state, the part of which they are at present. The list of countries, most interesting for the analysis of the facing to them crisis of statehood, mostly because of separatists' activity, includes Belgium, Spain and the UK. The author of the article, among the set of other causes of separatism, examines its economic prerequisites and comes to the conclusion that economic causes often appeared to be the determinant ones in the struggle for independence.
