The article considers the trends of the Russian economy development in 2011 and provides the forecast of the main macroeconomic indicators for 2012-2013. The trends of the world economy development are described. The paper analyzes the main reasons for the decline in the industrial production growth and contains the assessment of the present state of the economy and its growth opportunities.
